In short
- Antalya Airport has two international terminals (Terminal 1 and Terminal 2) and a domestic terminal.
- Most UK and German holiday airlines, including Jet2, TUI, easyJet, SunExpress, Pegasus and Corendon, use Terminal 2.
- Terminal 1 is used seasonally: in recent winters all international flights moved to Terminal 2.
- Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are about 2.5 km apart; the domestic terminal is connected to Terminal 1 on foot.
The three terminals at a glance
Antalya Airport is one of the busiest holiday airports in Europe, with around 39 million passengers in 2025. To cope with that, it is split into separate buildings:
- International Terminal 2 (T2): the main international terminal and the one most holidaymakers from the UK and Germany use. It was greatly expanded in the first phase of the airport's new-terminal project, which opened in April 2025.
- International Terminal 1 (T1): the older international terminal, used mainly in the summer season for some airlines with smaller passenger numbers.
- Domestic terminal (İç Hatlar): for flights within Türkiye, for example to Istanbul or Ankara. A new domestic terminal opened on 26 May 2025. Some travel sites call it Terminal 3.
The airport code is AYT (IATA) and LTAI (ICAO). If your ticket says GZP, you are flying to Gazipaşa–Alanya, a different and much smaller airport about 40 km east of Alanya.
Which terminal does my airline use?
According to airline terminal listings for the UK market, Jet2, TUI, easyJet, SunExpress, Pegasus, Corendon, British Airways and Turkish Airlines fly from Terminal 2, while Ryanair has been listed at Terminal 1. Allocations can change between seasons and even from day to day when the airport balances its traffic.
The reliable answer is always on your booking: check your e-ticket, the airline app and the departure boards on the day. When you book a transfer with us, your flight number tells the local team which terminal to plan your pickup for.
Is Terminal 1 closed?
Sometimes, yes. Terminal 1 has been closed temporarily during the quiet months: on 10 November 2024 all international flights moved to Terminal 2, and Terminal 1 reopened on 29 May 2025 for the summer peak. From 27 October 2025 all international flights again operated from Terminal 2 for the winter.
This pattern is why searches for "Antalya Airport Terminal 1 closed" spike every autumn. If you fly outside the main summer season, expect your international flight to use Terminal 2 unless your airline says otherwise.
Terminal 1 vs Terminal 2: what is different?
Terminal 2 is the larger and newer building, with far more check-in desks, a bigger duty-free area and more food outlets. Travellers often describe it as spacious but very busy at peak times, especially on summer weekends when many charter flights depart within a few hours.
Terminal 1 is smaller and older. It is connected to the domestic terminal, which is useful if you connect between an international and a domestic flight. Both international terminals have airside smoking terraces, pharmacies, cash machines and currency exchange; see our Antalya Airport facilities guide.
Getting between terminals
Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are about 2.5 km apart, roughly five minutes by car. The official airport advice is to use the public bus or a taxi between them; do not try to walk along the airport roads with luggage. Travellers report that the connection is not well signposted, so allow extra time if you arrive at the wrong terminal.
Terminal 1 and the domestic terminal are connected, and you can walk between them inside the airport complex.
Arriving: where to meet your transfer
At both international terminals, transfer and tour operator reception desks are just outside the arrivals exit. With our private transfers, a local representative meets you at the lettered counter given in your confirmation and walks you to the vehicle. Our meeting point guide has photos of each step.
